Captain Chris Mischke is the owner & operator of Big Sky Fishing Charters. With over 40 years experience fishing the waters of Montana. Specializing in not only open water fishing but Ice Fishing as well in the winter months, offering both full and/or half days!
Chris was born & raised in Montana as well as a Second Generation Captain! His passion for fishing started far before he could even walk.
A fun fact about Big Sky Fishing Charters, is that they run the largest commercial fishing boat on Flathead Lake holding 15 passengers, being 34ft long and 10ft wide! It is newly upgraded with twin mercury 300’s, state of the art electronics, heated cab, private restroom, inside dining & much more!
Aside from the larger boat, Captain Chris runs a Weldcraft that is 24ft that is more ample for smaller groups! This boat is equipped with state of the art electronics, fully covered, & heated!
When you are on either one of these boats you are not just ON a boat, you are IN the boat with the sizes of each boat & the luxurious experiences they both offer.
During the winter months, Captain Chris is no stranger to fishing on the ice. Big Sky Fishing Charters has ice houses that can accomodate anywhere between 1 person all the way to 20 people! You never need to worry about being cold when being housed by these during your trips as each shelter is heated.
